Organize sonographer coverage for your lab to maximize

scheduling and sonographer recruitment. This service is
provided directly by CUSC in central North Carolina, and
advised indirectly in other areas.
On-Site Training
Reinforce ultrasound scanning skills (abdominal and vaginal) for new or
cross-training sonographers and sonologists with instruction performed in
your office, on your equipment, with your patients.
Teach new techniques to expand patient services such as
sonohysterography (saline infusion), IUD insertion guidance,

ultrasound machine operations to maximize machine performance

consistent ultrasound evaluations in accordance with
American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM)

suggestions for improving consistency and accuracy.
Review of current CPT and ICD-9 codes to maximize
reimbursement for ultrasound procedures.
Lab Ergonomics Assessment
Assessment of machine, monitor, table, chair, and
sonographer positioning in your ultrasound lab.
Suggestions for reducing sonographer stress and injury to
the wrist, elbow, shoulder, neck and back.
Printed Materials
Customized printed materials to promote effective
communication between your patients and staff (instruction
sheets, informational brochures, consent forms, posters,
image holders, report forms, etc.).

AIUM Lab Accreditation Counseling
Assessment of criteria which must be met before applying for
AIUM Ultrasound lab Accreditation in the OB-GYN specialty.

suggestions for record gathering, documentation, case study
selection and preparation, and response to committee
findings.
